Our final bill was $154 with tip and overall a very unsatisfying experience at Gooney's.

The appetizers are amazing! I really like the chicken cashew. Waitress touted special which was a ribeye. The ambiance was fun and eclectic. We ate the full plate and didn't have room for the burger we ordered. Spicy beef curry for me and curry burger with seasoned fries for hubby, YUM! We all order different meals. Went here for the first time and I have to say it was amazing!! Go in for a drink & let them talk you into eating. Clean and friendly. I ordered the short ribs and seafood spring roll (off menu...at the recommendation of a friend of David's who was sitting at the bar).

The atmosphere is good. Gooney's. So I luckily ended up in between the two at Gooney's. Even my wallet left the night with a smile.We were staying Amarillo for the AQHA Select World show. You gotta gonif you in Downtown Amarillo! After we'd ordered drinks and the soup 7 appetizer from set menu we were THEN told it was going to be $80 for the couple. One waitress and she is too notch. We had the Spicy Basil Chicken, Pepper Beef, and Sweet and Sour Chicken. Priced right. Coming from Los Angeles where there is outstanding and authentic Thai, Chinese and just about anything else you can think of, I must admit that I did not have high expectations.
