Which cube connector is needed the CM1-CC or the C4W-CC? Cage cubes, which are directly compatible with our 16 mm cage systems, can be purchased empty or with an optic already housed inside.
We would be more than happy to provide you with extra and I have contacted you directly to do so.Hi, I am looking for more of the button-head 4-40 imperial screws supplied with the CM1-CC cage cube connectors. That being said, I have posted your request on our internal engineering forum for further consideration as a future product.Hello, from the drawings of the LC6W, it seems that the position of the 4-40 setscrews to hold the ER rods are a bit close to the 4-40 tap for mounting another ER rod on the perpendicular face.
The kinematic platform allows for positioning of the beam that is within the reflection band of the dichroic mirror. The precision control over the rotation is particularly useful when attempting to maximize or minimize a beam throughput. These 30 mm cage cubes, which are similar to the cage cubes included with our cube-mounted optics, are designed for holding a 1" or 25 mm prism or cube-shaped optic within a The table below provides links to all of our 30 mm Cage-Cube-Mounted optics. 60 mm Cage System Optic Mounts. Both will be able to achieve the orientation and can be locked in place once this is done, but the B3RC will perhaps make it a bit easier to do so, as this can be adjusted even after the mounting screws have been tightened down.Dear Tim. The kinematic, rotation, translation, and specialty mounts provide the flexibility needed to use the cage system for even the most complicated of optical setups. There are four 8-32 tapped holes (see photo to the right) on the top and bottom of the cube for connecting various accessories, such as cover plates or platforms, which can be found below. For our selection of 16 mm Cage-Cube-Mounted Optics, please see our The specifications to the right are measured data for Thorlabs' laser line polarizing cube beamsplitters with a design wavelength of 532 nm and 1064 nm.The following is a general overview of how laser induced damage thresholds are measured and how the values may be utilized in determining the appropriateness of an optic for a given application. Best Wishes - MarcelHello, thank you for contacting Thorlabs. Cage System Construction. These lower thresholds are due to absorption or scattering in the cement or metal coating.LIDT in linear power density vs. pulse length and spot size. I have posted your feedback in our internal engineering forum and will reach out to you directly about your application.Dear ladies and gentlemen, I recommend removing this.Thank you for your feedback. Average linear power density can be calculated using the equation below. These values are used to calculate adjusted, scaled LIDT values for the optics based on accepted scaling laws. While many optics can handle high power CW lasers, cemented (e.g., achromatic doublets) or highly absorptive (e.g., ND filters) optics tend to have lower CW damage thresholds. Please see the CAD drawing by clicking the red document icon next to the part number for exact details. Pulsed lasers with pulse lengths longer than 1 µs can be treated as CW lasers for LIDT discussions. When pulse lengths are between 1 ns and 1 µs, laser-induced damage can occur either because of absorption or a dielectric breakdown (therefore, a user must check both CW and pulsed LIDT).
These LIDT values are not valid for ultrashort pulses less than one nanosecond in duration. However, the maximum power density of a Gaussian beam is about twice the maximum power density of a uniform beam, as shown in the graph to the right. For SM05 threaded optics, we recommend using SM1A6 or SM1A6T adapter in addition to AD2T. http://www.thorlabs.com/thorcat/22900/C4W-CC-AutoCADPDF.pdf 16 mm Cage Plates 16 mm Cage Cubes thanks in advance
Although the included screws are most suited for gripping 25.4mm optics, 25.0mm optics can be securely mounted.Hello, can you please tell me if 25.0 mm diameter optic can be held by B5C or if it will fall through the hole? Do you have any suggestions?
These tapped holes may also be used with a The LB3C platform is rigid and allows coarse manual rotational positioning, while the LB4C platform has three adjusters to provide pitch, yaw, and 0.25" (6.35 mm) Z translation in addition to manual rotational positioning. The B5C description says it is designed for 25.4 mm optic. The clear aperture is 24.1mm and a 25.0mm will not fall through.
The components on this page use rods that are spaced on the corners of a 16 mm square. André KlossekResponse from Mike at Thorlabs: Thank you for your feedback. I have a very nicely collimated green laser beam according to the fringes on a shear plate but after the beam bounces off the cold mirror, the previously straight fringes become noticeably more wavy and its quite problematic. The cube clamp plate features an O-ring, which can be used to form a light tight cage cube when used with the LB1C blank plates and C4W cube.
are there any plans to provide an alternate base for the CM1-4ER/M that would accept rectangular plan filters instead of prisms, i.e. I´m a little confused. The top and bottom faces of the cube are machined with a centrally located Ø1.75" (44.5 mm) hole surrounded by four 4-40 tapped holes designed for mounting our Cage Cube Plates and Platforms. Witness lines are engraved on the sides of the mount for aid in alignment. The highly compressible foam, measuring 0.25" (6 mm) thick in an uncompressed state, can easily adapt to uneven surfaces to maintain a light-tight seal between mating parts. These witness lines mark the position of the optic's front surface when inserted into the mount with the front face directed towards the screw's mounting slot. The LB5CT1 and LB5CT2 SM2-threaded Optic Mounts hold Ø2" optics on our 60 mm Cage Cube Rotatable Platforms. Absorption is either due to an intrinsic property of the optic or due to surface irregularities; thus LIDT values are only valid for optics meeting or exceeding the surface quality specifications given by a manufacturer.
