I LOVE the hike at Burgess Falls and you will too - just ignore the plastic swingsets and picnic area and go straight to the river, then downstream. These tribes used the land as a hunting ground until the late 19th century when a gristmill and sawmill began operating on the river.

Cane Hollow's large gravel parking area and close proximity to Burgess Falls State Natural Area make it a great starting point for a short paddle trip to the base of Burgess Falls.
