Well they get five stars for that. The hotel itself is pricey though. Off season the rates were very reasonable. The shampoo was a "conditioning shampoo" but it most certainly was not.

We had to go out and get some which was annoying. Their Salt Water restaurant is not bad for breakfast - I had a flatbread with avocado, bacon, and eggs sunny side up. This seemingly minor $35 fee, which I would have paid without hassle if it were just included in the advertised rate, is leading me to add this otherwise nice hotel to a list of places I no longer wish to give my business to.The reviews on Yelp made me question my decision to stay here, but it was a great experience! Check in was easy, as the hotel is centrally located, features its own parking lot (with free parking), and during our visit had excellent service up front. Nestled on a small island in Narragansett Bay, Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina affords water views in every direction. Bathroom was clean. The hotel did not have toothpaste as we forgot ours.
