With that out of the way, its hard to hate something like this because its sweet and easy to drink. Opening it you get a sugary coconut smell with no hints of alcohol.

Combine ¾ oz. First thing its like 42 proof so its almost all water and sugar so I cant consider it a true rum, more like a liqueur.

I barely gave it a 3.0 due to it's mixing qualities, though I don't actively keep it at home.

The sharpness of cranberry with the crispness of coconut and a twinge of lime makes it my perfect drink. My excitement did simmer as I drank both, I started to taste some lingering flavor of the coconut. As of 2017 the Malibu brand is owned by Pernod Ricard, who calls it a "flavored rum", where this designation is allowed by local laws. Blend until smooth. I put a half pint of this on my tab just to try it. It was like Coppertone, Hawaiian Tropic, and a grain alcohol base had a three way.

Sweet, consumable, but has no real rum influence outside of a cocktail night. The brand is owned by one of the world's largest spirits producers, Pernod Ricard.Currently produced in Canada, Malibu Coconut rum was originally made in Curaçao from fruit spirits flavored with coconut and rum. Good taste, and gets the job its intended for done. I prefer other coconut rums that dont use coconut extract because its just not anywhere near comparable to a natural coconut flavor.

Drinking it is much the same you get a very distinct extract of coconut taste with a side of a large portion of sugar cane and thats about it. If it was not for the lingering coconut flavor, I would have drank this all day.

Found this in the freezer, was bought for the girlfriend. That said, I don recommend sipping something like Malibu, only mixing, which it is perfectly adept at. The original recipe was developed as a shortcut for bartenders making Piña Coladas, however today the stands on its own.I love this rum because it is great for pool parties.

Why on earth would anyone drink this stuff when they can buy hand sanitizer more cheaply (and it's probably more tasty than this poo).Eh, it’s technically rum, but without the rest of the cocktail it’s cloyingly sweet and undrinkable unless you’re 15 and trying to impress your latest high school crush because you stole it from your parents liquor cabinet.Anyone who mistakes Malibu for a proper rum knows little about rum. IIRC it's a little weaker than that...I have this coconut rum here that is 27.5%.
