The specific TLOU2 subreddit is a cesspool but I've seen good natured discussion from both sides on other subreddits.I’m about eighteen hours into gameplay and it is, without a doubt, the best game I’ve ever played.
The gameplay isn't exactly my cup of tea, but the story is profoundly amazing. But the game being bad has given people an excuse to go hard on all aspects so its amplified the anti-LGBT stuff too.I don't plan to pick up the game because the story seems kind of dumb and the characters make stupid choices full of narrative dissonance, particularly at the end, from what I've seen and heard. However, a ton of criticism is bad faith bigoted bullshit. So while I am admittedly only halfway through, and there's still room to go downhill, I can't remember the last time a game got this deep in my mind.

There's no denying that The Last Of Us 2's second trailer was amazing in its own way.Graphically, the game is looking every bit as stunning as you'd expect.
I came into this with low expectations having heard some of the leaks and reviews, and I’m nothing short of blown away by what I’ve seen. There’s almost constant dialogue so you hardly feel alone like in a lot of other games that feature companions, it’s way more open world than the previous game, and it has a lot of nice new features - like breaking windows and whatnot. I’d say that no video game has ever gripped me like this one has. It’s not the same as the the Last of Us, but it’s on par in a different way IMO.I’m on my phone and I don’t know how to black out spoilers so I’ll say it now SPOILER AHEAD HIDE MY COMMENT IF YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW.I finished the game the other day and fully intend to replay it a lot.
I personally feel they handle the LGBT representation well. The Last of Us Part 2 is undoubtedly Naughty Dog’s biggest project yet. If I hated on everything where I didn't like the ending of something, I wouldn't like 95% of stuff. All that said, it's an amazing game with great gameplay & a really emotional & interesting story that'll leave you on your toes the whole time.Reading spoilers is not fair to all the characters or the story, go into the game with an open mind & no pre-bias and you'll have an absolute blast.Something that isn't being talked about enough is the support this game has given both the LGBT+ community and all the amazing and great Accessibility features that allow players with disabilities to play the game. Millions of gamers don't have an issue with diversity. I'm starting to see the exact themes and ideas ND is going for, and so far they're executing them perfectly. And while it's all those things, I think it strikes a good balance and uses it to develop the narrative.I'm reminded a lot of The Last Jedi, a movie I will die defending. The gruesome plot of Naughty Dog's highly anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive This makes for a controversial choice considering the leaks also reveal that Abby kills Joel with a golf club. I'm itching to dissect and analyse every detail of it but I'm also terrified of spoiling the journey for myself so I guess I just have to hang in there! Both.
It really challenges you to see from the perspective of others, even those you may hate. This is why the game is so hard for ignorant assholes.
Credit: Naughty Dog. I'm holding out final judgement to see how the story goes, but this far it's easily one of the best games I've ever played.Leading up to the release, I was only cautiously optimistic. Really it depends on what is being said and where they're discussing it.
The Last of Us Part 2 will be out on June 19, and players will just have to make their own decisions about the quality of the story.
