If you are looking for an incredible experience to ride a beautiful horse along a shoreline....then this is how you do it!!

After the trail ride they had an opportunity to groom their horses and spend some time with them. In making our reservation I found the phone call with the owner odd, they didnt answer the phone professionally and told me to text her instead of call because she was busy.

She ended up loving it!!!!! Riders of all levels, from those that have never been on a horse to our daughter who owned her own horse and rides daily, felt quite satisfied with our experience.

She prefers texting to arrange a time as she is usually out and running camp and would like a little time to make sure she has space for you. I contacted Jeanann Alves who owns the camp to set up a ride. We just finished a trail ride.

Thanks to Jeanann and her very friendly staff our kids had an awesome time.

We made a day of this -- traveling on the ferry, walking around the island and having lunch and ice cream. However, i read decentOur Peaks Island Horse Day Camp offers lots of fun for kids of all ages and our Granddaughters especially liked it.

We highly recommend this place!I took my 6 and 8 year old grand daughters to Horse Island Day Camp for a trail ride and it was a very fun experience. She gave us interesting info as we went along, was very easy-going, the ride was beautiful and we learned a lot about the island.
