Darkman II: The Return of Durant is a 1995 American superhero film directed by Bradford May. Now, with the help of his disguises and inhuman strength, Darkman must forever rid the world of Durant. Darkman and Durant return and they hate each other as much as ever. It's more of the same from the Renaissance stable, except where the first film had a unique visual style and ferocity thanks to director Sam Raimi, a journeyman director brings nothing new to this movie and only succeeds in ripping off his predecessor. He's different from Liam Neeson, who played our hero in the first, but he's still good and acceptable in the role. Free shipping for many products! Directed by Bradford May. A martial artist hunts a killer in a plague-infested urban dump of the future. The plot: arch-nemesis Durant is back. He was most-assuredly fried, roasted, toasted and burned all to hell at the end of the previous film, and his return is rather laughable. It is a direct-to-video sequel to the film Darkman. In 1930s New York City, The Shadow (Alec Baldwin) battles his nemesis, Shiwan Khan (John Lone), who is building an atomic bomb. There is a lot of really good action scenes and the story is pretty good, if not at times repetitive of the first. It doesn't equal the awesome flavor of the first, but it's fun, if not forgettable. These are precisely the elements you look for in a good comic book movie.
