PALS teamI booked an appointment online for 10 Hammersmith Broadway clinic however I found the information on the site very unclear and miss leading so I tried to call the clinic to ensure they can carry out the procedure I was after. I called another time and finally got through to the line and held in a queue, the whole 40 mins I was on hold it said I was 1st in the queue and my call would be answered in 1 minute. Welcome to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital - Duration: 4:35. She took comprehensive notes, asked me a lot of questions and after her assessment called in a cosultant. I apologise for the difficult you have experienced dealing with our administrative system. The appointments system appears to be a mess. Thank you for taking the time to write positive feedback regarding our services and staff. PALS Team.I've just had my second colonoscopy at the Chelsea and Westminster. Please can you email our team directly via pals@chelwest.nhs.uk along with you full name, date of birth and hospital number (if available). At the day of the surgery, I was kept informed by staff on the waiting times. I am waiting to hear back from the hospital as to why my appointment has been cancelled yet again.Dear Patient, Kind Regards, At the end of the appointment they were remarkably kind and generous with their time as they answered all my questions about the surgery and my diagnosis. There was not one interaction that left me feeling anything but looked after and confident in the expertise of the staff. My niece was so upset at having to walk through the antenatal clinic area for her appointment and then she had to sit in a waiting area where there was a crying child waiting with their mother. First time I waited 8 hours to be seen for a broken finger, and they sent me home because they were understaffed and asked me to come back later. Chelsea and Westminster Hospital has not yet replied.I have been coming to Chelsea and Westminster my whole life as I was born here and live just at the end of Fulham road so I couldn’t count how many times I have been there. No time was wasted. I have yet to have a followup appointment, but I can confidently say, that I feel so much better and that having the surgery in Chelsea and Westminster was the best decision I could have made. It was pretty clear quite quickly that the longer waiting times are not through lack of care, but are an unfortunate side effect from letting each person feel listened to respected instead of rushing to stay on schedule regardless of whether the patient felt they’d found a solution to their problem or notDear Patient, Extremely disappointing experience with fairly rude uncaring, indifferent staff who are not properly trained to do the job.Dear Patient, In all my years of visiting I have never been as looked after and as comfortable as I was with the nurse. My appointment was booked for October 17th.
I had one last pre-op appointment to go over the scans with another doctor and again talked to the consultant. Review titled Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Replied on 25 September 2019 Dear Patient, I apologise for the difficult you have experienced dealing with our administrative system. She was very down to earth right from the beginning and very easy to talk to.
I specifically chose Chelsea and Westminster Hospital because the care was rated as good and it had one of the shortest waiting times (at 11 weeks) of most of the hospitals north of the Thames. All of which is quite ironic really, considering that I specifically selected Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for its high care standards and short waiting times! she clearly loves her job and I can tell she is a very caring person outside of work also. Thank you for taking the time to write positive feedback regarding our service and staff. thank you so much to the C&W for making this experience, as pleasant as possible and having staff who really know how to look after their patients.Dear Patient, I was at the hospital for a total of about 13 hours and she came in to check on me constantly, even if it was just to have a normal chat to make me feel more comfortable and take my mind off of where I was. Thank you, Sadly the last few experiences have not been great at all. Why are GPs working in A&E and clearly inexperienced trainees? Kind Regards, I was kept informed of my discharge, and instructed on my medication and how to take care of my stitches. We will then be able to escalate your concerns appropriately. PALS team.Often running a little late so waiting times longer than expected, but they have a wee white board next to the reception with estimated waiting times for each doctor on it. Nurse didn’t care about my state and even said that I have better blood pressure then she has! I will think twice next time I am in pain or unwell, and I will absolutely not be going to this hospital again.
He explained in great detail what the likely diagnosis is, what exams need to be conducted, and that the likely treatment would be surgery (but presented me with other options if surgery is something I want to avoid). She didn’t even want to listen , she put me with someone’s help on the chair although I asked her to be put somewhere horizontally. I was immediately sent for pre-operative assessment and scheduled for a scan and a pre-operative appointment.
