A lot of things — like movement, survivability, and utility — are ignored and lots of assumptions are made (look at the doc for more details). How to stay on top of rules changes? No one really wants to teach the new players, and though I am fairly new myself -- I dabbled in 8th and played a fair bit of Kill Team -- I took up the mantle of learn-to-play coach.
Would this be allowed in a tournament, or is there any particular GW rule regarding this? With 9th around the corner, I am wondering what would have the best benefit from the new rulings and what would be the best units to run in a 2000 point listI'm just curious whether anyone knows if they're similar enough not to favour one on an overall basis, or if one is better than the other in most cases. The idea of the list is have a demon heavy thousand son's army with the Start Collecting for thousand sons and demons of Tzeentch. I'm probably gonna have to leave it for a few weeks, but hoping to make some more improvements after.Caveat: obviously, this is not meant to represent the total value of the unit. I´ll visit my first GT (who knows today) in May and I need some help. Well that space marine thread in question is the first example we can use. I would like to know if it would work and also get suggestions for cheap improvements. So the Orks are consistently having the times of their lives. And the Plague Marines welk they seem rather tough but were not really Able to do to much at Range and looked rather weak offensivly at all if compared to the normal SM units with the only upsite being the plagueknives in melee but therefore having only 1 attack and Slower movement.I know the meta shifts quickly in 40k and I don’t wanna build the best army or something like this, I am looking for a suggestion of what army or faction might support my playstile more then DG does, at least when i play Dg with the stuff I got from the boxes: 2 Lords of Contagion 1 Malignant plague CasterThanks for the help guys and for your time reading and answering this! For all those who want to engage in competitive 40k discussionsPress J to jump to the feed.
I'm getting back into 40k after a 12 year absence but thanks to a certain global situation can't really play any games. CC is welcome. My idea is to bring as much tanks as possible and hide all my humble guardsmen inside their Chimeras with their 3+ sv (2+ with Prepared Positions) as long as possible. I have Not Chosen an army for me so far and would really apreciate it if you could give me some Tipps. Basically, the warlord trait "Master of Strategy" say I can pick a unit to have the tac doctrine active, so does that mean in that shooting phase the Scions of Girlyman is consider to be in effect? As an example, if I select a unit of Aggressors for this, and they move (not advance) on turn 1, then for that shooting phase they would still get to shoot twice, and get AP -1?Is there any particular ruling about modifying GW fortifications? Well that space marine thread in question is the first example we can use.
